About Us

The Evanston Environmental Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the long-term success of the Evanston Ecology Center and its staff in their efforts to provide quality environmental education to the surrounding community.  The EEA also works with other local green organizations and undertakes selected projects to produce environmental benefits for Evanston and its residents.

The EEA consists of a board of directors and a membership body of hundreds of individuals.  The EEA's board manages the business of the association including fund raising and financial initiatives that are undertaken to support the educational efforts of the Ecology Center.  The board also recruits and helps manage the numerous volunteers who donate their time to further the goals of the EEA and the Ecology Center.

The EEA membership consists of individuals who support the EEA's work through their membership fees, the participation of their families in the numerous Ecology Center programs, and by volunteering their time to the EEA and Ecology Center.  The EEA invites community residents with a commitment to the environment to join the EEA and help us make a greener Evanston.
