Campers are
encouraged to take part in the world around them as we explore solutions to
some environmental issues by participating in team building challenges, games,
crafts, community service projects and hands-on experience.
These two
4-week sessions include field trips, beach days, theme days and an overnight
experience. During the third week, there will be an adventure
filled 3-day, 2-night camping trip to Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin. Campers
will kayak and rock climb in Devil’s Lake State Park! Pre- and Post-camp Care

Session I – Energy
Get
ready for an “energizing” experience. We will discover alternative forms of energy
by harnessing the power of the sun, wind and water! We’ll discover and create
energy solutions such as solar powered cars and ovens! Campers even exert their own
energy as they learn skills such as fire building, orienteering, kayaking,
canoeing, bicycling and even wall climbing.

Session II – Conservation and Restoration
Let’s
go to the ends of the Earth! Global conservation and restoration is our goal.
Campers examine the environmental changes in places all around the world,
including Evanston. We’ll explore endangered species, deforestation and how to
coexist respectfully with the great outdoors.
Campers will experience fire building, compass skills, canoeing,
